And this is what was keeping me occupied today for the whole afternoon. (This image will eventually be scrapped.)
However, I think the truly scary part is that this heap does not contain any of my Lion King plushes and only a very small amount of my Douglas Cuddle Toy collection (pile falling off arm of couch down to the floor on the left hand side of the picture). My Douglas plushes probably equal about this much altogether (possibly a little more) and my Lion King plush collection could easily overtake what's in this photo with no problems whatsoever.
Today's task merely consisted of going through my boxes of assorted plush and separating them out into their respective categories before reboxing them. Now that they are all sorted, I'll have a much easier time locating who I want when I'm ready to take pictures of each individual animal.
Basic photo breakdown:
Pile on arm of couch and floor on left side of image: Douglas Cuddle Toys + a few Steiff animals
On back of couch, left to right: Barking dalmatian pups, Heartly golden retrievers by Hallmark, large pile of animals made by Russ and Gund, small pile of miscellaneous licensed animals including a couple Dogz plush, and a large pile of assorted animals
On couch, left to right: Classic styled bears and a couple other animals by Boyds and Russ, Build-A-Bear animals, giant pile of Disney and other prominent licensed animals including the St. Bernard family from Beethoven's 2nd, Wishbone dogs, the ASPCA Fremont dogs made by the 24K Company in 1996 (very rare), and the Balto plush animals.
On floor in front of couch: Small pile of bean bag animals including one Beanie Baby (the rest of them are already off in their own box), and the animals in the box are Folkmanis puppets.
